OBPC Outreach Committee Adds Two New Mission Partners
The Outreach Committee has committed to partnering with two new missions:
Whispering Meadows and Mission Discovery. Located on a beautiful ranch just outside I-95 in Ormond Beach, Whispering Meadows is a 100%volunteer-based, nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of those with disabilities and special needs through recreational, educational, and equine-assisted programs.
For our other new partner Mission Discovery, the Rev. Chris Chandler serves as Project Coordinator, leading trips both local and global to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the hungry and impoverished.
With the addition of these two partners, OBPC now sponsors a total of ten mission organizations! Our support is not only financial, but also hands on, as in the weekly PB&J program, HUM hot lunches, and the “backpack program” for the rose Marie Bryon Center. We are a small committee and could certainly use more “hands on deck.” If interested in helping, or if you’re just curious about the work of Outreach, please contact the church office or Outreach Chair John Anderson.
