ASH WEDNESDAY ~ February 22, 2023 Worship at 7:00PM

The Lenten journey begins on Ash Wednesday, when Christians around the world gather to have the sign of the cross marked on their foreheads with ashes. The ash cross we wear on Ash Wednesday is a way of saying “I am sorry for my sins, and I know I need to be forgiven.” When we look in the mirror, it is a reminder to ourselves that we need to be forgiven and to forgive others. Although Ash Wednesday seems like a serious day, it is also hopeful, because the cross reminds us that God loves and forgives us. Each day is a chance to start over.
