Scripture for the day is Proverbs 20:14, 28:8
“Bad, bad,” says the buyer,
then goes away and boasts.
One who augments wealth by exorbitant interest
gathers it for another who is kind to the poor.
After reading and reflecting on the passage, pray saying Lord, give us a conscience and concern for the vulnerable so that we don’t make a profit from the young by selling corrupting entertainment, or from the elderly people by selling corrupting entertainment, or from the elderly people by selling useless products, or from poor people by selling them mortgages they can’t afford. I pray that you would move us to do justice as a nation. Amen.
