Scripture for the day is Proverbs 1:8-9, 4:3, 6:20, 10:1

Hear, my child, your father’s instruction,
    and do not reject your mother’s teaching;
for they are a fair garland for your head,
    and pendants for your neck.

When I was a son with my father,
    tender, and my mother’s favorite,

When I was a son with my father,
    tender, and my mother’s favorite,

The proverbs of Solomon.
A wise child makes a glad father,
but a foolish child is a mother’s grief.

After reading and reflecting on the passage, pray saying, Lord, let your people have marriages – and find marriages – in which spouses both know your Word, love it, and teach it to one another, their family, neighbors, and friends. Let our families be schools of the Bible, and Christian spouses one another’s colleagues. Amen.
