“Following Jesus”

The title of the fifth panel is “Following Jesus.” Discipleship is a lifelong journey that begins the day that Jesus first calls us by name and invites us to follow. This panel reminds us of the day that Jesus walked along the Sea of Galilee and called the fishermen to leave their nets and follow him. His invitation to them was – “follow me and I will make you fish for people.”

As you look at this panel try to remember where and when your journey with Jesus began. Think of all the things that he has revealed to you through scripture, prayer, worship and service. Jesus calls us because he has something special that he wants us to do – some special purpose for our life. Do you know what his purpose is for your life? If not join a small group and discover your purpose as you explore the gifts that God has given you. Our spiritual gifts are often the key to our purpose.
