90 Days of Prayer – Day 38

James 1:12-13:

Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood that test and will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God” for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.

Memorize this! How has God shown you his love in the face of evil?

The next time temptation comes your way,consciously remind yourself that it does not come from God.

Lift to God that which is on your heart today.

90 Days of Prayer – Day 37

1 Corinthians 10:12-13:

So if you think you are standing, watch out that you do not fall. No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.

Recall one or two specific times when God sustained you and provided a way out of difficulties you thought were too great to bear.

Resolve to be alert today for a fresh example in your life of God’s faithfulness and protection when you are tempted.

Lift to God that which is on your heart today.

90 Days of Prayer – Day 36

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our sins,
As we forgive those who sin against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil,
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.
