Scripture for the day is Psalm 90:1-4

Lord, you have been our dwelling place
    throughout all generations.
Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

You turn people back to dust,
saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.”
A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.

After reading and reflecting on the passage, pray saying, Lord, life is going by so fast! It frightens me unless I remember your eternity. We are as rootless as tumbleweeds and will be blown about all our lives unless you are our dwelling place. In you we are home. What I have in you I can never lose and will have forever. I praise you for this unfathomable comfort. Amen.
